This Ferris Wheel has been standing in the same place since 1897, having survived both World Wars and the tests of time. Riesenrad isn't the highest, coolest or most spectacular Ferris Wheel in the world, however, it's old, it's got tons of history and it's a lovely, charming way of getting a nice view of a beautiful town ! It also features a cute little exhibition of the history of Riesenrad and a bit about Vienna. For a romantic experience go after sunset : it is all lit up
